WHO IS INOUE?

The man hoping to derail the Tszyu train, Takeshi Inoue began his boxing career in 2014 and has lost just once in his 19 professional bouts.

That loss came in a title fight against one of the best in the world, Jaime Munguia.

Since then, Inoue hasn’t skipped a beat and undoubtedly poses Tszyu’s biggest-ever threat.

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

For Tszyu, he’s the mandatory challenger to Brian Castano’s WBO super welterweigth belt. A loss to Inoue would seriously dent his reputation on the global boxing stage.

The Japanese star arrived in Sydney to little fanfare, but he’ll no doubt want to have his hand raised in enemy territory.

Inoue will be hoping to return to the global title picture after tasting defeat to Munguia in January 2019 for the WBO World Super Welterweight title and the only way to do that is to get past hometown hero Tszyu.
