New Clifford the Big Red Dog trailer is causing a stir in NYC

After years of development and delayed release dates, Clifford the Big Red Dog will finally air on November 10. Ahead of the upcoming day and date release, which will bring Clifford to theaters and Paramount + simultaneously, a new official poster and the final trailer have been released. Some dogs have a way of growing up on you, as you can see in this latest trailer below.

 

 

 
 

The official synopsis reads: “When college girl Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gives her a little red puppy, she never planned to wake up to find a dog. ten foot giant in his tiny apartment in New York. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away on business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) embark on an adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat as our heroes take on an adventure. bite of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved character from the book Scholastic, Clifford will teach the world how to love grown-ups! ” 

Clifford the Big Red Dog is directed by Walt Becker. The screenplay comes from Jay Sherick & David Ronn and Blaise Hemingway based on a screen story by Justin Malen and Ellen Rapoport. Jordan Kerner, pga and lole Lucchese have produced, with executive producers including Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer, Valerii An, Brian Bell, Caitlin Friedman, Deborah Forte and Lisa Crnic. The film is based on the Sholastic Clifford the Big Red Dog series of books by Norman Bridwell.

The cast includes Jack Whitehall, Darby Camp, Tony Hale, Sienna Guillory, David Alan Grier, Russell Wong and John Cleese. In the final trailer, we can also get a good look at Kenan Thompson as a vet. Of his role in the film, Thompson previously told The Knockturnal, “I’m playing the vet they’re going to… bring Clifford because they’re trying to figure out what’s wrong with him and why he’s so fat.” and all of a sudden red. I’m not sure if it starts with a different color, but we definitely question whether it’s big and red. ” 

 

“I think it’s a beloved series that comes to life so anytime [a new adaptation] comes along, it’s always exciting,” Thompson added. “I know we’re going to make the name itself known to everyone and then it’s up to us, I guess, to deliver an awesome viewing experience, and I hope they get it across. I’m having fun with my scenes, so hopefully it’s two hours like that or one hour and twenty minutes or whatever the audience can handle. “

The film lasts one hour and thirty-six minutes. It is rated PG for its rude humor, thematic elements, and gentle action. Previously, it was due out in September, although it was taken off the release schedule as Paramount Pictures considered how best to release the adaptation. This culminated in its day and date release next month, giving people the option to watch the new film on the big screen or at home. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be released in theaters and on Paramount + on November 10, 2021.
