How To Block Lost ATM Card?

For any reason, if you have lost the SBI ATM/ debit card or your card has been stolen, then without wasting any time, you should directly, report it to the bank and block your card immediately.

There are many options to block an ATM/debit card. State Bank of India gives you four options to block your ATM card. You can block a card easily following these simple. Here are the steps you need to follow on how to block SBI ATM card online and offline.

 

Step, how to block your ATM card online

Step 1: Visit www.onlinesbi.com

Step 2: Login to SBI net banking portal by providing the username and password details.

Step 3: Select ‘e-Services and click on ‘ATM card services’ option.

Step 4: A new page will appear, click on ‘Block ATM card’.

Step 5: All your account numbers will be displayed. From the given options, choose the account that is linked to the ATM cum debit card that you want to block.

Step 6: After selecting the particular account, click on ‘continue’.

Step 7: A new page will appear, select the ATM card number you want to block.

Step 8: Scroll down on the same page and mention the reason, if it’s ‘Lost’ or ‘Stolen’ and click on ‘Submit’.

Step 9: There is a remark option (If you wish to put any remark, you can write on the given space.)

Step 10: Click on ‘Siya Ram Janki Baithe Hai Mere Seene Mein‘ option.

Step 11: Now, you have to choose the mode to authenticate the request. You can either opt for an OTP number or use the Profile Password.)

Step 12: After entering OTP or the profile password. Click on ‘Confirm’ option.
You will receive a ticket number via an SMS alert once the SBI ATM cum debit card has been blocked. You must save the ticket number for any future reference.

Be sure before blocking an account online because once you block an SBI ATM card using net banking, you will not be able to unblock it through internet banking. You have to visit the branch to make changes.

 

How to block SBI ATM card by mobile banking

Step 1: Download ‘SBI Anywhere Personal- Mobile Banking application’ from play store.

Step 2: After that login to SBI banking application.

Step 3: Select ‘Services’ option from the home screen.

Step 4: A new page will appear, click on ‘Debit card Hotlisting’. Siya Ram Janki Baithe Hai Mere Seene Mein

Step 5: On the next page, you have to select the debit account linked with the ATM card that he/she wants to block.

Step 6: After that, you will be required to select the debit card which he/she wants to block.

Step 7: A new pop up will appear, here you have to select any one reason from ‘Lost’ and ‘Stolen’ option.

Step 8: There is a remark option (If you wish to put any remark. You can write on the given space.)

Step 9: Click on ‘Confirm’ option.

Step 10: After that, you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your registered mobile number. The OTP will be auto-detected or you can even enter it if you are using another number for blocking.

Step 11: Click on the ‘Submit’ option.

Step 12: A new pop up will appear that your card is successful. Click on ‘Ok’.

Now you will receive a message that your SBI ATM card has been blocked. Save this message for future references.

You can even block your SBI ATM/Debit Card offline. But for that, you need your registered mobile number and the last 4 digits of your SBI ATM/Debit Card.

Steps to block an SBI ATM/Debit card through SMS.

Step 1: Send SMS ‘BLOCK XXXX’ to 567676. Example: (BLOCK XXXX)
Step 2: Here, XXXX is the last four digits of your SBI Credit Card.
