Apple officially invited to its October event under the motto “Unleashed” (“Unleashed”). On October 18, Apple will present its novelties as part of a virtual keynote, first of all a new MacBook Pro with an M1X chip.
After the iPhone 13 event in September, there will be another highlight for all Apple fans in a few days. The virtual keynote will take place on October 18 at 7 p.m. KST, as Apple has confirmed.
After the iPhone 13, the new iPads and the Apple Watch Series 7 were in the spotlight at the last event, this time everything should revolve around Macs. Concretely: the MacBook Pro in sizes 14 and 16 inches. With the M1X chipset, Apple’s internal M1 chip will have a more powerful successor. This should make the MacBook Pro both more powerful and more power efficient, which is why the battery life is expected to increase.
New look for the MacBook Pro?
Apple could not only improve the technology inside, but there is also speculation about an optimized design. A slimmer case with a flat screen is under discussion, and at the same time the touch bar could be replaced by conventional function keys.
In addition, observers expect Apple to equip the new MacBook Pro with a mini-LED display, which could bring more in terms of brightness and contrast, among other things. Some interfaces that haven’t been installed in MacBooks in years could also celebrate an unexpected comeback: a memory card slot, an HDMI port and, last but not least, a MagSafe magnetic charging connector are under discussion.
On October 18, starting at 7 p.m. KST, the Apple “Unleashed” event can be followed as usual via a live broadcast. The live is relative: The event consists of pre-recorded presentations.
